Matthew Cavender

Architectural Designer / Associate AIA / NCARB / SCI-Arc Alumni

Matthew is an Architectural Designer and Los Angeles native who is inspired by the rich and innovative history of his iconic home.

His interests in Architecture and Design are born from a cultural education personified by the Mid-Century Modern masters such as Julius Shulman, Richard Neutra and Charles and Ray Eames. This perspective has led to a unique and bold design approach seamlessly blending the past and present to define a new architectural language for modern living.  

Matthew graduated from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) in 2009 with a Bachelor of Architecture. He has gone on to work with such notable Architects and Designers as Michael Maltzan, Rogerio Carvalheiro, Michael Rotondi, Irene Acosta-Hershman, Farshid Assassi and Daniel Tobin on a wide variety of projects and competitions.

With over 15 years of professional experience his aesthetic, attention to detail, rigorous design approach and ability to connect personally with clients and colleagues has set him apart as a unique designer.
